Biographies, Qualifications and Past Projects

Rod Nydam

The President and co-owner of Nexus, Rod Nydam, heads up the company's government and homeland security related work.  Mr. Nydam is a corporate attorney and consultant with over 20 years of  experience.  Prior to working with Nexus, he was a partner in two large international law firms and a faculty member of George Mason University Law School overseeing a program related to public-private partnerships in critical infrustructure protection.  Since January of 2000 he has been working with private industry and government groups on issues related to critical infrastructure protection.  This work involves consulting, facilitation, business and law related advice addressing the relationship between DHS and other government agencies (e.g. DOC, DOJ, FBI, EPA, and DOE) with the private sector as well as state, local, tribal and territorial governments.  Mr. Nydam's expertise includes a strong grasp of the issues and subject matter related to the following topics: public-private partnership formation and operations, FOIA, CIPAC, FACA, related liability issues, information sharing, private sector and public sector organizational structures, cyber security policy, and related international matters.

Mr. Nydam has a BA in Economics from Cornell University and a JD from Cornell Law School with a Concentration in Business Law and Regulation.
